My Process

01

Enquiry & Discovery

We start with a short conversation to understand your project goals, audience, and publication needs.

Bright, minimalist kitchen and living space with white walls, cabinets, and curtains. A large potted plant sits near a window with natural light, and wooden stools are positioned at a white kitchen island.

02

Pre-shoot Planning

You’ll receive a short preparation guide, plus a 30-minute planning call to discuss styling, timing, and key design features.

03

The Shoot

Photographed using available light and considered composition — capturing both atmosphere and detail.

Bathroom with white tiled wall, two oval mirrors with gold frames, two white vessel sinks with gold faucets, a small branch with twigs, a soap dispenser, a wooden dish with a brush, and a wooden cabinet.

04

Editing & Delivery

Images are professionally retouched for colour and tone, then delivered via an online gallery with high-res and web-ready files.

Questions you might have

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE THE SHOOT

  • Yes. I regularly photograph across South Australia and interstate.

  • Yes. Exceptional imagery doesn’t just look good — it performs. My clients regularly see results — stronger enquiries, publication features, and higher-value projects. Strong imagery sets your work apart and attracts the premium clients who more than cover the cost of the shoot.

  • I make on-the-spot adjustments during the shoot, and my kit includes a selection of basic styling props for quick enhancements. For projects needing comprehensive styling, I can recommend trusted stylists, or you’re welcome to work alongside your preferred stylist.

  • Yes — drone photography can be added to any package to capture architectural context and elevated perspectives, where weather, airspace, and property permissions allow.

  • For standard projects, 4-6 weeks is ideal. Publication-focused shoots or seasonal projects benefit from a longer lead — typically 8-10 weeks allows for the right creative window. Working to a tighter deadline? Get in touch with me — I occasionally reserve space for priority projects.

  • If conditions could impact the result, we can adjust timing or reschedule. I’ll always recommend the best approach for your project and the lighting it deserves.

  • Absolutely. A cost-share image license allows project collaborators — such as the designer, builder, or supplier — to split the investment and use the images for their own marketing. It’s a simple way to make professional photography more affordable for everyone involved.

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your shoot date, with the remaining balance due prior to the final images being delivered.

  • Before the shoot, I’ll share a short preparation guide and schedule a planning call to discuss styling, timing, and any key design features you’d like highlighted. Spaces should be clean, styled, and free of clutter on the day.

  • That's what the initial chat is for. I'll help you figure out what makes sense for your project and budget.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW AFTER THE SHOOT

  • Standard delivery is within 2–3 weeks from the shoot date. Rush editing is available for publication or marketing deadlines on request. Additional fees will apply.

  • Of course. Each package includes a set number of images, but you can add as many as you like for $60 per image.

  • Images are delivered via a Google Drive link with both high-resolution (for print) and web-resolution (for digital use) files.

  • Each image is carefully retouched for colour, balance, and light. Minor tonal adjustments are included; extensive retouching or reshoots are quoted separately.
